Little Bird   The study in our house was always locked; until today. Father didn't like us going in there because we could cause ruckus, but that doesn't matter now. Momma said that he has gone far away--far below--and he won't come back 'till Christ comes. Now the door to the study is open, but only slightly where a sneaky sliver of light peaks through the crack. I am afraid to open it because what if I went inside and father found out? But I am also staring at the door because I want to go in. My older sister Betsy hasn't gone in the study yet because she locked herself in her room and claimed, "I am never coming out! Just like Papa!" I don't know why; didn't Momma say he was coming back when Christ comes? All we got to do is wait for Christ and then Father will come following behind too, right? I know so because Momma is always right. Anyways, Little Joshua hasn't gone in the study 'cause he is two and too little to care. But me? I am old enough, and curious enough to see.
